"Making Friends by Accident since 1969"

About Us

Campbell Collision, Inc. has its roots deep in Livingston County.  We opened our doors in 1969 and later moved to this area in the early 1970’s.  Back then, this area was mostly farmland.  There were very few major stores in the area.  Everyone knew each other, and everyone knew that Campbell Collision was the place to have their car repaired.  Bob Campbell, Sr. already had a fine reputation as one of the top auto body repairmen in the Southfield area, so it was no surprise that word got out fast that he moved to this area.

In those days, many of the dealerships did not have on site collision repair.  They trusted Campbell Collision to do the work for them.  Eventually, more collision shops came into the area. In spite of this, Campbell Collision’s business stayed strong.  We pride ourselves on repairing vehicles for multiple generations of families and we look forward to repairing the vehicles for the future generations to come.

The dynamics of autobody repair has changed over the years. Vehicles are no longer made solely of metal.  The paints are no longer highly toxic.  The electronic age has made vehicle repair more complex.  At Campbell Collision, our staff is ICAR certified and ATEG certified as well as licensed by the State of Michigan. These organizations offer the high quality technical classes that are necessary to stay informed about all vehicle repairs. Our painters have completed all of the necessary training for meeting strict EPA and DEQ standards. If you walk into our office, you will see all of our certifications hanging on the walls. Please take a moment to look at our credentials.  Ask yourself, do I want anyone working on my vehicle?  Or, do I want a repair facility that has continued to stay ahead of technology and training in its field?

In 2005, Bob Campbell, Jr. and his wife, Donna, purchased the family business from his father.  He had worked at the family business since he was a teen and the high standards and expectations his father established were ingrained in his mindset.  In the years that followed, he updated both the inside and the outside of the building to give a “fresh look”.  He added new technology such as electronic diagnostics, electronic frame measuring equipment, high tech welding equipment, and water based paint products.

We encourage you to stop in our office to check us out.  Have a cup of coffee, let us do your estimate, and meet our competent staff.  We want you to be a lifelong friend of our company. There is a reason why we are always “Making Friends by Accident since 1969” and let us have an opportunity to prove it to you.
